12,000 m² of green space for a manufacturing plant: noise screen, staff rest areas and a rain garden.
Around the production plant we designed rest areas for staff, a noise and dust screen along the road, and a rain garden to receive roof water.
Solutions
A four-row tree and shrub belt along the road reduced measured noise by 5–7 dB. The rain garden holds 450 m³ and reduces flood risk.
Staff areas
A 120-person rest area with shaded seating groups and a 600-metre walking trail were built. The 'workplace surroundings' score in the staff survey rose from 3.1 to 4.4.
